Tetai, the 23th of Ocan in 148 Surge, written in a newspaper of Lumiar
This morning, the Order of the Eye started the curing of a bunch of heretics from the District of Hope in Lumiar.
Those were, sorted by name: Clarissa Finell, Ideas Finell, Thobeus Linsang and Ora Dunereth. All of them were former novices, and all but Ora formerly lived in the Silverwing District.
They stated in public that our lord Tythos - may his name be praised - was practicing necromancy while he still honored Athor with his presence. In the first process of curing, the heretics explained that their views were based on the old works of Rhal, which are in fact accepted from the Church of the Eye as valuable sources for the history of Tythos.
In one of his rather unknown tales, Rhal describes a vision where Tythos summoned a dragon out of the air in a war against a barbarian clan. This was at the times where Tythos was not only a great warrior, but also incredible blessed as a cryomancer. The summoning of the dragon was indeed a cause of turmoil in today's council, because it was very likely to think that Tythos indeed used necromancy for this powerful summon, which would be a severe blow against the law that only Cryomancy and its base school Aeromancy are allowed to use.
After an unexpected debate while the curing process and many more cites out of Rhal's visions, it was officially stated and noted down that Tythos did not "summon" the dragon in a necromantic way. It was interpreted that he rather called the dragon with his superhuman abilities. Still, this was a rather unsatisfying outcome, because no trusted source states that Tythos was able to communicate with dragons. But what do we even know for sure about our great lord and watching eye?
In the end, the process lasted 4 hours longer than expected, but the heretics, who still believed in their theories, were sentenced to the second process of curing in the Temple of Tythos.
Oden Finell, the father of Clarissa and Ideas, told us:
"I think they got what they deserved, but I really hope that this comes to an end soon and they will come to reason again. It's not easy for a father to see his children abandoning the right path without hesitation. [...] I can just recommend to all the other parents out there to watch closer what their children are doing and get help from the church before it's too late."
