0 Rift in the Lumarian tavern "Ragnar's Inn", a bard called Corkscrew plays his interpretation of an ancient tale about the ascension of Tythos.
He was not more than farmer's boy
Had nothing more than mother's joy
But after years made Tythos wise
He wondered: "What is paradise?"
He worked as farmer day and night
But soon began to raise and fight
Against the ones who made him work
For less amount than he deserved
It was not more than half a year
When he got trained with sword and spear
And after training made him strong
He fought for justice all day long
The army made him cold and clear
Until a woman would appear
A cunning lady filled with Kha
They used to call her Lyria
Now he seemed strong and she seemed wise
So they both thought: "It's paradise!"
But Tythos paid a tremend* price
With Lyria as his pregnant wife
Kha smuggled in between her thighs
A dark infected demon child
And while she cried when giving birth
A fiend began to haunt the earth
So they knew what had to be done
The demon had to loose its tongue
To ban his evil to the dust
Track down and kill their child they must
Young Tythos prayed to Ath for guide
While Lyria just tried to hide**
When both just argued time for time
Their fate seemed no more intertwined
The years came by when in the end
Strong Tythos smelled victory's scent
As highest chieftain by the law
He ruled the lands to feed his maw
"A hero with a greater heart
Than all of us", sang all the bards
When Tythos freed from bitter scent
The cursed barbarians litter land
But while he did, his only wish
Was kill the child and give a kiss
To Lyria just once again
So, after all he made a plan
He asked his wife to bind her soul
Into his own to take control
Together and resist the whim
Of Kha and all his shifty kin
Together they began to rise
To challenge all the known divines
With sword and spell they fought their way
To Athoril, the world's relay
They could not help but be surprised
Folks you too would not trust your eyes
But at the roots of Athoril
There lay their child unscathed to heel
When Lyria took it to her arm
She felt the child was without harm
The gorgeous infant was not meant
To strive this world and human land
For all the worlds and gods to hear
They gave the child the name Seydir
And as the name was whispered calm
Seydir grew up as new realm
Old Tythos and his wife alone
Moved back again to his old home
They said farewell to all their friends
And were not seen on earth again
*tremendous
**This is not to be understood merely as an offense against women, but should most likely show that Lyria is not a relevant divine figure in the Church of the Eye. Corkscrew is instructed by the Order to not spread "heretic" views in his songs.
I also heard a few chords he played, may they inspire someone who wants to play along:
